Overview: Open Minds Institute (OMI) is a think & do tank fighting authoritarianism, propaganda, and measuring the effectiveness of counter-influence communication campaigns.
Main duties:
• craft, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support our evolving data needs
• optimise and troubleshoot existing data infrastructure
• stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data engineering technologies
• develop and implement best practices for data processing, storage, and management
Requirements:
• a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages, with experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar
• familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
